About BBELT 2022

BBELT is one of the main events in the English Language Teaching calendar. It is an academic forum designed to introduce the latest trends and new ideas in English Language Teaching (ELT), offering attendees the opportunity to participate in academic sessions, presentations, workshops, poster exhibition and demonstrations of the best teaching material available. It provides a space of exchange, dialogue, and reflection on ELT in Mexico, bringing together the outstanding teaching specialists from the United Kingdom, Mexico and throughout the world.

The 2022 edition of BBELT (Best and Brightest in ELT) online conference expands the offer of continuing professional development (CPD) and creates new opportunities for the ELT community in the Americas by connecting teachers in the region, empowering learners, and providing new skills through new ways of teaching.

This year’s conference theme, Connecting Teachers, Empowering Learners will be an opportunity for teachers and other ELT professionals to share experiences and good practice, and understand the importance of networking with colleagues, trying out new ideas and extending knowledge. The conference will also be a space for reflection on how the role of the learner has changed and how teachers can empower students through English, and all skills required for the ever-changing new global context.

 When?

The British Council will host BBELT virtually in 2022 from 18 – 19 February 2022.

Who attends?

It is a great opportunity to meet leading trainers, material writers and publishers, theorists, English teachers from the private and public sectors, researchers, language centre coordinators, heads of educational institutions, ELT decision makers and all professionals involved in English Language Teaching.
