The British Council is looking for a consultant to work on British Council stakeholder and key account management, institutional representation, and business development. The primary goal is to support UK strategic objectives and ensure effective British Council coordination in the USA and Canada.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience required:


BA degree preferably related to Education, International Relations, or Development.

Knowledge and experience
  • At least three years of experience in leading and developing relationships with high-level representatives of the UK Government.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of UK Government/Devolved Administration departments.
  • At least three years of experience in managing and developing relationships in the Education sector that convert into partnerships and growth of scale and/or technical impact.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of how major players operate in the Education sector in the USA and Canada.
  • Demonstrated understanding of trends in national and state policy in the Education sector in the USA and Canada and desired knowledge of Higher Education Institutions in the USA.
