What do you love most about working here?

The people I work with make it worthwhile. Everyone at the British Council is so passionate about the work they do. It is encouraging to know that the team will support your work in any way they can. This inspires you to work even harder.

Why would you recommend other people to join this organisation?

The personal and professional development experience you gain is invaluable. You are always encouraged to get involved in different projects and relevant training that interest and inspire you. You will build strong internal and external relationships, have a great work-life balance and constantly learn more about complex topics.

What do you think is our company's biggest strength that we should be focusing on?

Our global standing. With our history and expertise in cultural globalization, we are in a strong position to streamline equality across borders. Our global mission and programmes that are adapted to fit each country allow us to be an effective tool for change.

What three words would you use to describe our BC culture?

Impactful, encouraging and diverse

What impact has the British Council had in your career?

I have worked closely with many departments in the British Council which has allowed me to hone different skills that are and will be very useful in my career. From report writing and research on the society team to project management, event planning, and networking on the education team, I have had the opportunity to learn a lot.

What motivates you to go above and beyond at work?

One of the main reasons is knowing how impactful my work is and being able to join different initiatives that will not only benefit me but external stakeholders. I enjoy the work I do and my input is always encouraged. This makes me feel like an integral member of the team.
