What do you love most about working here?

What I enjoy most about working in the British Council is being able to connect with people from all over the world to share and put our knowledge and different skills into common goals. 

Why would you recommend other people to join this organisation?

Working here is a great opportunity to improve your professional skills. Because the British Council is an ever evolving organisation that is always looking for ways of improving, it also brings good opportunities for its staff to develop themselves. 

What do you think is our company's biggest strength that we should be focusing on?

I believe the British Council's biggest strength is its commitment to diversity and equality. It allows us to strengthen our empathy, which is essential for creating understanding between different individuals and cultures.

What three words would you use to describe our BC culture?

Resilient, diverse, evolving.

What impact has the British Council had in your career?

My career has improved significantly since joining the British Council. Thanks to the support and advice from my superiors and colleagues, I've acquired new skills both on the job and also through the professional development opportunities which are delivered and/or supported by the organisation. This year, thanks to a Professional Development Award, I am undertaking a marketing qualification delivered by the Marketing and Communications Academy in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Marketing. This certificate has helped me broaden knowledge and skills, and I believe has been essential in me becoming part of the Americas Regional Marketing Team. 

What motivates you to go above and beyond at work?

The belief that we all put our best skills and effort to achieve a common goal is what keeps me motivated.
