Victoria Copete / Project Manager Science and Innovation, Peru

What's been the most important thing you've learnt as a result of working with the British Council?

I have learnt to understand the organisational approach to Mutuality, both internally and externally. The concept is deeper than I thought, and it builds synergic dynamics that seek to contribute to people’s development and integration through Trust, Solidarity, Integrity, Inclusion and Equity. I love that!

What skill have you developed or learnt working here?

Effective Communication is a skill I think that I have strengthened during my journey at the British Council.

How would you describe the people you work with?

Amazing! Self-driven impact seekers that are either creating opportunities, building bridges, and/or connecting the dots, and day-by-day contributing to the big picture.

What other area or business unit would you like to explore within the organisation?

Monitoring and Evaluation.

What do you think the British Council could/should do more of?

More collaborative work among business units in country and in the regions. We are already working together to find more strategic ways to support and/or enhance what we do right? More of this will expand British Council’s reach and positioning.

What would you like to say to anyone interested in working with the British Council?

The British Council journey is an experience worth to live.
