The COVID-19 pandemic brought profound changes to education in the Americas, especially through the closure of schools and colleges. Education professionals and political actors worked hard to continue teaching despite the difficulties. The region faced many challenges, including unequal access to the Internet and the lack of infrastructure to implement virtual education. Even so, the action plans yielded many lessons and revealed new goals for education.
