Circular Culture is the British Council’s programme that connects in-person and digital festivals across Latin America and the Caribbean (LATAC) with the United Kingdom, fostering a unique cultural exchange that transcends arts. It promotes sustainability practices in festivalsand cultural activities, fostering international collaborations, offering expert mentorship from the UK, and assisting with financial support to maximise impact.
With over 110 festivals in more than 75 cities across LATAC, Circular Culture is building a network of sustainable cultural events. Through the training provided, better sustainability practices are promoted, facilitating over 1 million meaningful interactions.
Can you imagine your cultural festival standing out not only for its creativity but also for its positive environmental impact on the planet and the cultural connections it fosters? That’s Circular Culture!

- Commitment to sustainability: this programme is your starting point to make your festival more ecofriendly through mentorship and technical training to reduce environmental impact and develop a sustainable development plan.
Keep in mind!
