How did governments and schools in the Americas region deal with the pandemic and resulting school closures? What can we expect from now on? How can we plan for the future? These are some of the main questions that are examined in the report ‘Research and analysis about the responses to the closure of schools in America 2020’ which was conducted by the British Council and Varkey Foundation. Read the report to learn more about the measures that were implemented during 2020, the perspectives of different stakeholders in the education system and the main findings and conclusions of the 2020 research applied in 11 countries with 5,218 teachers surveyed and 63 expert voices included.

Watch a recording of our webinar ‘Impact and Lessons Learned from School Closings in the Americas’ from 15 April which takes a deeper look at the insights from this report.

We have also created a series of infographics which highlight the main findings of the report.
