Discover the successful experiences of Alumni UK in Latin America
Alumni UK is a global network, launched in 2022, bringing together people from all over the world who have studied in the UK as international students. The community aims to create a special place for collaboration and connection, expanding its members’ professional networks, fostering continuous learning, and sharing experiences. And, of course, keeping the connection to the UK alive!

Renowned Alumni from Latin America:
UK alumni, in addition to being some of the most employable graduates in the world, actively impact society. Take, for example, Vinícius de Moraes (1913 - 1980), Brazilian poet, playwright, diplomat, and great composer, who at the age of 25 became the first Brazilian to receive a British Council scholarship to study literature at the University of Oxford. A writer of several Bossa Nova classics, Vinícius de Moraes is internationally known for his songs such as “Garota de Ipanema” (1963), “Chega de Saudade” (1956), and “Eu Sei que Vou te Amar” (1958). Another notable figure is César Milstein (1927 - 2002), considered one of the fathers of immunology, who was also an alumni. An Argentine biochemist, Milstein obtained his doctorate from the University of Cambridge and won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1984 for his research on monoclonal antibodies.
