Banco Santander and the British Council are launching the third call of the Santander | British Council Online English Course 2025, with 10,000 fully funded scholarships to study English online. 

The course is open to applicants aged 18 and over, residents of 13 countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, USA, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Poland and the UK), with English levels from A1 to C1. 

Applications open until 2 December 2025. 

  • Phase 1: from 12 January to 8 March 2026, for 10,000 participants selected. 
  • Phase 2: from 16 March to 2 August 2026, for the top 1,500 performers, with live online classes available 24/7 with expert British Council teachers. 

  • 100% online and free of charge.
